The Boom Marina Takjil Market officially kicked off on Saturday, March 1, 2025, bringing vibrant energy to the shores of Boom Marina Beach in Banyuwangi. The festive event was inaugurated directly by Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani and was the result of strategic collaboration with PT Pelindo Properti Indonesia (PPI) Banyuwangi.

What sets this year’s Ramadan market apart is the generous initiative from PT PPI, which offers free admission to Boom Marina Beach for the entire fasting month. This allows residents and visitors alike to explore the culinary offerings with ease and comfort.

“This is special, Alhamdulillah PT PPI has freed up entrance tickets so that people can shop for takjil more freely and comfortably at Marina Boom Beach,” said Regent Ipuk during the opening ceremony.

The takjil market features an extensive variety of food, ranging from trendy modern snacks to traditional Banyuwangi specialties that are sure to whet anyone’s appetite. Shoppers can take their time browsing and tasting while enjoying the scenic ocean backdrop and the cool evening breeze of Boom Marina.

Regent Ipuk expressed her happiness at the enthusiastic response from the public. She noted that the high turnout at the takjil market reflects not only the community’s excitement for Ramadan festivities but also the strength of local culinary culture. Importantly, she highlighted that takjil markets are now widespread, found in many villages and sub-districts throughout Banyuwangi, making it easier for everyone to access Ramadan treats.

“I hope this takjil market brings blessings to our traders and helps the community conveniently find delicious iftar dishes,” she added.

In her speech, Ipuk also reminded food vendors to maintain strict hygiene standards in their offerings to ensure public health during the event. She further encouraged visitors to participate in eco-friendly practices by bringing their own containers or reusable shopping bags when visiting the market. This measure is aimed at minimizing the use of disposable plastic bags and promoting environmental sustainability.

The presence of the takjil market at Boom Marina not only stimulates the local economy but also revives the community spirit of togetherness and celebration. It offers a space for families and friends to gather, enjoy local flavors, and embrace the joyous atmosphere of Ramadan.

With its strategic location, rich culinary variety, and free entrance, the Boom Marina Takjil Market is expected to become one of the top destinations in Banyuwangi throughout the fasting month.

So, whether you’re a local resident or a visiting tourist, the Boom Marina Beach takjil market is the perfect spot to enjoy Banyuwangi’s rich food culture while supporting local businesses in a festive and family-friendly environment.
